Alzheimer’s Garden – RHS Tatton 2013

Built by: Greenbelt Landscapes

Garden name – Remember to reflect

Charity Project Brief

The garden was to raise awareness of the debilitating disease of Alzheimer’s. The design was a large space for a carer to quietly reflect, reminisce and mindfulness. The dark reflective pool is cooling calming and highlights the lush planting. The garden was manned by the Alzheimer nurses. This is a prime example how gardens allow visitors to visit a beautiful garden, talk with experts without visiting care homes and hospices to seek advice and support in a relaxed environment. This garden was a great example of designers and contractor’s collaboration raising awareness for charities.

The garden was awarded a RHS gold medal.
