Project Brief

Director Belinda Belt was approached by B.A.L.I which at the time she was the Northwest regional chairman, delivering talks and training on behalf of the Association.

This led to a collaboration with other members and with Matthew the landscape director and Belinda taking the lead to create a show garden at RHS Tatton, raising awareness of the high standard of workmanship that the members provide.

ABOUT THE GARDEN ..

A formal, contemporary innovative design inspired by the fashion designer ROBERTO CAVELLI and his beautiful home which features lattice screens. These inspired the single sawn focal point to the rear of the garden which was subtly lit with the help of Collingwood lighting.

The garden boasted a runway over a floating dark reflective pool and a single piece of water cut stone lit to create ambience in the garden of an evening.

Planting

Large rendered planters were mass planted with elegant grasses and punctuated with cool perennials along with single stem silver birch trees.

Mature hedges enhanced the garden to give a lush green backdrop, with shade loving ferns and water loving plants next to the rill at the rear.

The garden was enjoyed by thousands of visitors and we even had a visit from some lovely cast members of Emmerdale!

Many thanks to London Stone, Crowders Nurseries and Collingwood lighting.
